While revolutions don't always bring to mind images of bodysuits, Bodysuits for Bosses are rapidly becoming every woman’s favorite corporate-staple. Founded by an attorney, the clothing brand, JD.JUNE redefines professionalism by adding a stylish bodysuit-twist to the non-iron dress shirt.
Serving triple threats to limiting beliefs, JD.JUNE proves that modern day, multi-dimensional women can truly embrace themselves with non-iron, European fabrics, polished cuffs and collars, and hassle-free, tuckless style.
The designer and founder, Charlotte Luu, is an attorney by day and fashion entrepreneur by night who discovered her passion for fashion when she recognized the lack of women's dress shirts. "Surrounded by polished men’s dress shirts in the office, it was frustrating to be limited to plastic-like polyester and wrinkly button-ups that shrunk in the wash," she recalls. "When people ask me about the inspiration behind Bodysuits for Bosses, I always insist that it shouldn’t take much to want something great for women."
Designed in New York City with a team of technical designers, JD.JUNE's office-bodysuits are a blend of astute craftsmanship and thoughtful design. From the precise, high-density stitching and firm, stable collars to the button-clasp spandex bottoms, Charlotte credits her design to her attention to detail and belief that our office-wardrobe reflects our respect for ourselves and our work. Two years of research and international collaboration culminated into JD.JUNE’s multi-echelon supply chain in order to provide luxury quality at everyday, professional prices. “Women can finally get the best of all worlds thanks to our extra-long staple, Supima® Cotton fibers sourced from the United States, non-iron fabrics dexterously woven in Europe, and partnership with revered Asian craftsmanship.”
Charlotte is an attorney with an appetite for knowledge and creativity. "I love learning how things work and building together ideas. With a competitive violin background and my love for numbers, I've tapped into my technical and creative comforts as a Finance Attorney and Fashion Entrepreneur. It took time and courage to realize that I could be both, but I was able to create a life that allows me to be who I am. Being both has been deeply fulfilling."
Responding to how she manages her company with her legal career, she says, "It's natural to gain energy when we unapologetically embrace who we are and our natural skillsets. I mean, I took corporate well-being seriously. My hobby is empowering women.”
